It seems like bralettes were breathed into existence a couple of years ago and BOOM! They became huge.

Even though bralettes are so well-known, there are a lot of things people don’t know about them, and a lot of myths surrounding their wearability or function.

Are you a bralette doubter? Here’s some things you should know before you decide to get a bralette.

Bralettes aren’t supportive: Wrong!

While some bralettes are more fashion than function, there are bralettes made with quarter wires or full wires, strong padding, and thicker bands so you don’t have to sacrifice support to embrace the trend.

Now, you’ll probably notice a little bit more of a relaxed fit when you wear a bralette. But hey, some ladies prefer that! Just don’t think that because you might have a larger or heavier bust that you just have to admire bralettes from afar.

Bralettes are just a fad: Wrong!

We might have thought the bralette wouldn’t stick around for long, but that’s so not true anymore!

The fabulous thing about bralettes is that they are so very comfortable, they are beautiful, and they are multipurpose. A great bralette works as an easy bra to wear all day, but it can also serve as part of your outfit.

You can wear it as a top with some high waisted bottoms or an extra layer, or even layer it over a tee or dress – whatever speaks to you!

So if you’ve been going back and forth on whether or not you should give in and buy one – just do it!

Bralettes aren’t flattering unless you’re small: Wrong!

We might see a lot of images where thin women with smaller busts are wearing bralettes, but does that mean they are only made for these ladies? No!

Maybe you just don’t want push up power straining your breasts every day. Maybe you prefer that au natural look that embraces your natural shape.

There are also more supportive, stronger bralettes you can shop if you’re just a fan of the look. There are bralettes made for every body, every breast size, and every shape, and if you love them, you should wear them!
