Adhesive
Bra Cups : Stick-on cups that are worn with backless tops.
Back Wings – Back wings are the strips of fabric that extend from the
outer base of the cups and secure in the back.
Balconettes : These bras are demi bras that provides lift as a push up bra does.
Bandeau : A
strapless bra that goes all the way around. The support is lighter and
may or may not have attachment in the back.
Basque
: Looks like a merry widow but is not as tight.
Bra
back extenders : Ideal to lengthen the band of the bra when
the existing bra is too tight. View
Bralette– A bralette
is a soft cup with very light support. Looks like a crop top or
sleep bra. View Example
Bridal
bras : A finishing touch to the bridal gown such as a lacy
delicate bra. View
Built-in bras : Sometimes known as shelf bras, are a supportive bra like structure on the inside of another garment, such as a swimsuit, camisole or tank top. These provide support for the bust without the
necessity of wearing a bra. View These Examples
Bustier : A bustier is shorter than a
merry widow and is longer than a bra. It's main purpose is to
accentuate the bust. The term bustier also applies to padded
strapless bras.
Center Gore
– The center gore is the piece of fabric, which connects the cups
of a bra at the front center.
Clear
straps : Ideal to wear with strapless bras for extra support
without seeing the actual straps used for spaghetti-strap camisoles, strapless dresses, halter tops and more.>
Comfort Straps –
Comfort straps are wider than average straps on a bra, sometimes padded
and are present to evenly distribute the weight of the breast.
Convertible
bras : Bras that have totally detachable
straps that can be arranged in a variety of ways.
Cookies – Cookies are oval shaped, removable
pads. They come usually with padded push up bras and when inserted
in the cup pockets will boost cleavage.
Corset :
Magnificent and sexy medieval looking merrywidow that cinches the waist.
Demi bras
: have lower cut cups that cover half of the breasts.
Foam Lined
– Unlike padded bras, foam lined bras have a thinner,
lining. This lining does is not present to accentuate cleavage but it
does decrease the appearance of the nipples. Ideal under fitted
tops.

Mastectomy bras are designed so that a prosthesis may be held in place and are intended for women who have lost one or both of their breasts. View
Maternity
bras are designed in a way to allow breast expansion throughout the pregnancy.
Minimizer bras are designed to reduce the bust. Minimizer bras creates the illusion of one to sometimes two cups smaller. View
Molded : Molded bras are generally unlined and may be either soft cup or underwire.
Nursing bras : Designed to make breastfeeding easier by permitting access to the
nipple.Each side of the bra cups has a flap that can be detached either
by a clip, hook and eye and so on.
Padded
bras : A light layer of padding provides a defined shape and
enhances support. The padding may also be ideal for women who have sensitive and upraised
nipples as the padding gives a smoother look under tight tops. The padding
can also be a bust enhancer depending on its shape and thickness. View
Plunge – Plunge bras
enhances the appearance of the cleavage more than a regular bra.
The cups are more angled to the front and the center gore is thinner.
Push-up
Bras : The push up bras maximizes cleavage by pushing the breasts
together and upwards. The push-up bras can be enhances with padding
on the inside of the cups. View
Racer-back
bras : Straps that are joined together in the middle of the
back, therefore preventing them from sliding off the shoulders. View
Seamless
bras : The shape of breasts are moulded into the cups for a very smooth outline. Usually the cups of the bra have no seams, or lace thus giving a natural shape as well as a smooth look under tight tops. View
Shelf bra These bras have a band, often elastic, that goes across the entire front of the chest, beneath both breasts. Shelf bras are often found built in camisoles. The terminology built in bra is also used interchangeably.
Soft Cup
– Soft Cup bras do not have underwires, but may be padded or lined.
Sports
bras : are designed to support and protect your
breasts during an exercise workout. Sports bras are available in different
levels of activity and in a wide range of sizes. A well-fitting sports
bra should feel slightly tighter than a normal bra. View
Strapless
bras : A bra that is specially designed to support the breasts
without the aid of straps. View
Training bras Designed for girls who have begun to develop breasts but who have not yet developed enough to compensate for a full cup sized bra. If find the Elita bras are extremely comforable and ideal for training bras. View examples
Triangle
bras : The cup has a triangular shape and
usually come in smaller cup sizes. They offer the perfect amount of coverage/support for petite to average figures. Triangle bras may be padded or lined but generally do not have underwires, and most have thin straps, center gore and back wings.
T-shirt
bras : Seamless cups provide a smooth look under tight tops. View
Teen bras : The first bra should be comfortable and have somewhat
of a stretch at the cups will grow.
Underwire
bras : The underwire separates and lifts the breasts as it
gives them a more even look .
